Software
®Mapping
The ®Mapping software suite is a rigorous activity analysis tool that collates, interprets and reports on tasks, activities and actions, instantly exposing interdependencies, gaps and repetition; equipment and technology needs; roles & responsibilities – and provides text-based reports.
®Mapping software can be operated on any platform requiring just an internet browser to run, and depending on the needs of the client, delivered as a fully managed service with no hardware or IT support required, to a stand-alone restricted environment.
The software suite has 3 core components:
®Mapping Software Modules
Risk Mapping
Participants contribute to the workshop building the activity analysis map live on screen generating a clear and concise common recognised information picture of the event. The collective data allows us to generate
- Policy reports identifying multi-agency stakeholder activities
- Procedure reports for each stakeholder (roles, responsibilities, actions)
- Action and corrective action reports
- Technology and equipment requirements
- Aspirational capabilities
- Training & assessment needs
The software translates text based activity data onto a multi-stakeholder timeline in the form of dynamic flow charts allowing stakeholders the ability to visualise the total response, identify planning and response anomalies and interdependencies and the ability to drag and adjust activities on the timeline to determine optimum performance.
The process and software develops comprehensive integrated policy, procedural and procurement strategies to develop safe systems of work.
Resilience Mapping
®Mapping data quantifies the people, equipment and technology required to meet the demands of the incident, identifying both the collective and single stakeholder capacity to respond to varying scales of incident size.
It concurrently quantifies civil and military, general and specialist assets needed to manage the threat and maintain a resilient response. To make sure the multi-agency response has the people, equipment and technology to meet the demand of the threat, we identify each stakeholders current operating capacity and maximum operating capacity – and then determine the surge capacity requirements to meet the demands of the event. Significantly, we identify trigger points where capability may be exceeded, providing planners, operational and strategic managers with clear parameters for requesting support. The resilience mapping process uses 4 scaleable variables against agreed operational response bands to help determine response capacities of all stakeholders.
Recovery Mapping
Identifies business impact analysis and recovery metrics.
We’ve combined our hugely successful ®Mapping process with the ability to capture Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Impact Resource Recovery Analysis (BIRRA) data. BC Managers now have the benefit of both qualitative crisis response information – and quantitative recovery data to help them develop effective business continuity plans.
For corporate clients, specifically tailored Business Impact Analysis information (BS25999) is also captured during our workshops. We detail key business processes and staffing requirements, business critical processes, recovery time and recovery point objectives, external service providers and much more, to help develop your crisis management response and Business Continuity Plans.
®Mapping delivers the BCM response structure and identifies gaps, identifies the resources your BC plan and crisis management team will need to manage the threat and maintain your response and captures business impact analysis data telling you how quickly you can get back up and running.
Improving planning efficiency
- Identifies and agrees political and organisational risk, response and recovery
- Produces collective agreement on cross-organisational plans
- Produces cross-organisational policy and individual stakeholder procedure in one workshop
- Visualises operational responses (dynamic flow charting) allowing activity/timeline adjustment
- Streamlines response by identifying repetition or redundancy in activities or processes
- Immediately produces each stakeholder with corrective action and equipment procurement reports
